The Brenham HouseWelcome to our home. The Brenham House was built in the 1920’s on the foundation of what was the first German Lutheran Church of Brenham. Unfortunately, the church was destroyed during the great storm of the 1900’s, leaving the sturdy lime stone steps behind – steps that continue to greet visitors today. |

Simon Theatre 109 W. Main Street Designed by architect Alfred C. Finn. It represents early 20th century, classic revival. In its day it was very plush ,with the most modern equipment and features. It could seat 739 people. Now going through renovations, it is a real labor of love. A hugh investment for our town, to restore this lovely building with so much history. It will be Brenham's Convention Center with the second floor for wedding receptions and other events. The Visitor's Center will be located in the building, also. This will draw more people into the Chamber because it will be located on the Square. We will keep a watch on the building as it transforms in to a beautiful princess! Of course, more donations are needed so feel free to send that money! Labels: Chamber of commerce, Convention center, historic restoration |
